This dog and his owner live in my neighborhood. Although I've never seen them in person, I saw Pee-Wee's photo on the front page of the community newspaper a few months ago. At first I thought, "Holy Crap, did someone run over this dog with a truck?" But after reading the article about Pee-Wee and his owner Kristin, I actually started to think that he's pretty cute.
Here's his bio from PeeWeeMartini.com:
Pee Wee is a 2 year old Chinese Crested / Japanese Chin mix. I'm pretty sure he was a mistake. When I saw him in the pet store, I knew we belonged to each other. He has no teeth on the left side of his mouth so his tongue sticks out all day long. For whatever reason, he can not stick his tongue out the front or right side of his mouth. His nose/jaw is also terribly crooked for reason I am not aware of. When he was a puppy it was straight. It just kind of grew that way. He has a natural Mohawk. Pee Wee likes hanging out with his sister Lily and brother Eddie (when he feels like being nice). He likes pickles, ice cream, carrots, pickled tomatoes, bananas, string beans, broccoli, and the occasional cat turd. He likes long walks in the cemetery. He loves his Grandma, Grandpa, Nanny, Uncle Joe, Great Uncle Joe, and Sam very much. He likes really big dogs. He made best friends with a 275 lb Mastiff. He is silly and loves attention. He is an angel, the sweetest dog you could ever meet. In November 2005 I entered him in Regis and Kelly's funniest looking dog in America contest. He won. He received a $500 gift card to PetSmart.
You can tell that his owner loves him SO much, and it makes me very happy.

Hahah! Definitely one of the World's Ugliest! Looks like a giraffe!
1I think I saw a pic of this poor creature on the Ugly Dog contest stuff. Bless her heart, he would have had a hard time getting a good home. He is like a Cabbage Patch Kid, so ugly he's cute!
Love that he eats, "the occasional cat turd". HAHAH!
2I read somewhere else (I can't remember where) that she spent $2000 to buy him from a pet shop, because she didn't think anyone else would ever want him.
I think he's cute!
3Oh, Whip, I love
him sooo much! I think he is precious... but I love "special" dogs!!
4is this dog really for real?
5it has something of a coyote.
6i am on a waiting list for a rescue Chinese Crested! it is my dream dog
7He looks like the mean Gremlin in the first pic, was his name Spike?
8Yeah, Spike!
I saw other photos a few months ago that aren't on the site anymore - sometimes she dyes his little mohawk different colors.
9the mohawk is actually kinda cool.
10he is so ugly he is cute...when i got my kitty at the shelter there was a little 'ragamuffin' dog there that i wanted so badly..she looked like someone tried to eat her and then spit her out! ahhh, makes me wanna go out and get a 'ragamuffin' dog to go with my toy poodle FiFi
11ewww lmao what is that a giraffe or a dog LMAO
12He's definitely not "cute" by any means; it's an example of a dog only a real animal lover could love. And yeah, I'm biased because my heart melts at the sight of any dog or cat. Thus, I think he's pretty darn cute.
It's a mystery why his nose is shaped that way. It can't be a congenital defect since it was straight when he was a puppy. So he was either treated poorly by some idiot or it's some sort of malformation due to some kind of genetic mutation. Or it could simply be the fact that his jaw bone formed severely crooked like that for lack of teeth or NORMAL jawbone.
13Wow, Whip what a sweet reason for her to buy him! I love her.
Yah,
he's pretty ugly. But, no dog is ugly ugly. They're just too sweet to be ugly.
14I remember at work there was this dog who had massive lumps all over his body, so much so that his entire torso was crooked. The lumps, I'm talking HUGE...like cantaloupes. He was old, too...and could barely walk. It was quite heartbreaking...but I recall just looking at him and saying, "you know...you're the most handsome dog here."
Another had no use of her back legs so she couldn't go to the bathroom normally. Therefore, her back end was usually quite dirty and smelly from her soiling herself to often. I wrapped her in a towel and kissed her on the head.
ALL dogs deserve equal attention, no matter what their abnormalities. I agree with you, Jenna; I praise this woman for buying the dog for the reason she did.
15Aw, Tor. I hope you get to open your shelter some day soon. Those pups and kits deserve you!
16i really hope no one abused him that would be horrible how could someone hurt a poor helpless animal when they can't defend themselves, that's DISGUSTING
